Fair Dedication

Chris & Greg Johnston
Chris and Greg Johnston's commitment to Queen Anne's County 4-H and the Fair stands as a testament to their dedication and tireless efforts. Chris initially became involved with the 4-H community as a judge at numerous 4-H Horse Shows, demonstrating her passion and expertise. When an opportunity arose for a 4-H Agent in the county, Chris took on the responsibility, diving deep into the operations of the County Fair along with her other 4-H programs and responsibilities. Her involvement was far-reaching—recruiting judges for livestock classes, helping to create the annual Fair books, and offering invaluable recommendations that significantly shaped the success of the Fair.
But Chris didn't do it alone. Her husband, Greg, was equally dedicated. As a family, they became actively involved in raising swine, and when the need arose, he stepped up as the chair of the swine barn and shows. His role extended beyond just the barn, as he worked to forge a strong relationship between the local volunteer fire companies and the Fair.
Together, Chris and Greg have made a lasting impact on Queen Anne’s County, helping to build a Fair that the community is proud of. Their combined dedication, time, and tireless efforts on behalf of the 4-H program and the youth of the county cannot be overstated. Queen Anne’s County is truly fortunate to have had such devoted individuals shaping the future of the Fair and the 4-H program. We owe them an immense debt of gratitude for all they've done.
